Leisure Walks

If you prefer to take a drive to a different location each day and take a not too long or difficult walk in and around interesting locations for as far as you want, our leisure walks should suit you. We have extensive knowledge of locations suitable for these types of breaks throughout the area.

Examples of these leisure walks are: -

In and Around Kirkcudbright - A visit to Kirkcudbright with the option of a flat riverside walk, or an easy woodland peninsula walk or a short partly hilly woodland walk, or a part street and part marina walk, you can combine one or more of these walks from the town centre.
As well as arranging your accommodation and tailoring your break schedule to suit you, we provide local information of places of interest in and around the town including tearooms, pubs and restuarants. 

The Fleet Valley and Gatehouse - A trip to a farm and activity visitor centre which has a woodland walk - suitable for families. After refreshment in the tea room, move on to the nearby coast to a viewpoint and a beautiful bay.  Gatehouse of Fleet is nearby where you can take a stroll, have lunch and visit some visitor attrractions. If you're still keen to explore we point you to a peaceful nature reserve with an ancient woodland along the way, all in this National Scenic Area.
These breaks are designed to be flexible and you can choose to do some or none of the walks, maybe according to the weather conditions or how you feel at the time.
